The city of Leonding now also has a multimodal tim node

tim, the multimodal mobility service, has been welcomed with great interest by the people of Linz. After the establishment of eight locations – the ninth will follow in autumn – in the Linz city area, tim is now also available in the city of Leonding. On the occasion of the renovation of the Stadtplatz, the new tim location was launched today by LINZ AG LINIEN on behalf of the city of Leonding. Customers can now use (e-)carsharing quickly and easily at the location.

 

Near public transport, (e-)carsharing and more

This modern mobility service is multimodal, which means that tim ‘nodes’ give people access to various bundled mobility services. The new tim node in the city of Leonding is located directly in front of the town hall. This makes the site easily accessible, as it is marked by a slender pylon that is visible from a distance. The pictograms on it show which forms of mobility are available. In addition to its direct proximity to public transport, this node offers stationary (e-)carsharing with two electric cars and one conventional, fuel-operated car, parking spaces for bikes, and public e-charging stations.

 

More than 500 tim customers

The mobility service is available to both private individuals and companies. tim has recently gained more than 500 customers. With the location on Leondinger Stadtplatz, this environmentally friendly form of mobility will benefit from even more impetus.

 

“With the tim mobility node on the new Stadtplatz, we are taking another important step towards environmentally friendly mobility. The vehicles are e-cars that Leonding residents can rent at reasonable rates. I am pleased that we have been able to launch the first location outside the state capital in Leonding and I wish the people of Leonding a pleasant driving experience”, Leonding’s mayor, Dr.in Sabine Naderer-Jelinek, said.

 

“The tim mobility service has become well established in the city of Linz in the meantime and is continually growing. It is therefore even more wonderful that we can now also operate the carsharing service in the city of Leonding and that tim is now also represented outside the city of Linz”, LINZ AG CEO, Dr.in Jutta Rinner said.
