12th tim station at Hessenplatz
Good news for all tim customers: Due to ever-increasing demand, another tim location was recently opened at Hessenplatz. This also offers (e-)car sharing cars, a rental car, a public electric charging station, bicycle parking and an AST stop (collective taxi). The opening of the twelfth tim node of LINZ AG LINIEN – eleven in Linz and one in Leonding – represents the last highlight in the extremely eventful and successful year 2023.
For the first time, more than a million kilometers per year
Compared to the previous year, the number of vehicle bookings increased by around 20 percent this year, and the number of kilometers driven with tim cars exceeded the million mark for the first time in a year. In 2023, the 1,200 private and 150 corporate customers covered around 1.3 million kilometers on around 15,000 journeys in the modern vehicles. That’s equivalent to 30 orbits of the earth!
“I am very pleased that Tim has been so well received. The fact that the new location at Hessenplatz is our twelfth underlines our success. tim is climate-friendly, can be booked flexibly and, thanks to its proximity to stops, combines public and private transport. The service will continue to be expanded in the new year,” says LINZ AG board director Dr. Jutta Rinner.
Modern vehicles: brand new VW e-UP will soon arrive
The tim vehicle fleet has been constantly upgraded since the start of the mobility offer. After new fully electric Cupra Born and a practical transporter joined the fleet in the past twelve months, from the beginning of 2024 it will also be enriched by brand new VW e-UP! The city runabouts have a range of around 200 km, five seats and up to 920 liters of cargo volume.
A plus in (driving) comfort and safety
In addition to driving itself, the route to the desired vehicle is also becoming increasingly comfortable. Last year, the renewal of the booking platform increased customer service even further. In addition, thanks to the new PLUS membership, tim has recently started offering users even more security with a reduced deductible.
